Velvet Home Care and Nursing Solutions has been servicing Tallahassee and the surrounding areas for over 4 years. We are committed to providing high-quality health care to all individuals under our care. Our priority is to provide compassionate & caring in-home care from well experienced certified nursing assistants (CNAs), home health aides (HHAs) and companions in hopes of delivering the best service in the area.

Velvet is dedicated to providing a service that leaves you or your loved ones feeling like they are not just a valued client but are a part of a family. We aim to make sure that anyone receiving our services feels comfortable and safe in the comfort of their home under the best care we can offer. This all starts with instilling our “where we bring our hearts into your home,” mantra. At Velvet it is not just a saying but is a representation of who we are, and our goal is to partner you or your loved ones with caregivers who feel the same.

All caregivers we refer have not only shown they can be entrusted with the care of yourself or your loved ones, but they have exhibited attributes of what we feel best represents the Velvet family. Velvet completes a thorough vetting process to ensure that all of the state of Florida guidelines are followed. Each caregiver that is referred by Velvet has been cleared through a level 2 background screening.

All healthcare personnel, whether it be certified nursing assistants (CNAs), home health aides (HHAs) or registered nurses (RNs) have all certifications and licensures verified. License verifications and clearance for CNAs and RNs are completed through the Florida Board of Nursing. Each referred HHA has been vetted through their certification of coursework completion.

- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including meal prep, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and light housekeeping.
- Monitoring and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Offering emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Following established care plans and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
